Senior Software Developer ( Feb 2021 – Present )

Akash Patel redesigned Microsoft’s CallQueue service, handling 1.2 million daily calls, to improve performance and user experience. He also created a call reliability framework that became a company standard, helping Microsoft achieve a 99.999% reliability SLA for its public PSTN calling services.

Senior Software Developer ( Sept 2018 – Jan 2021)

Akash Patel designed and implemented an AI-powered search engine using the BERT language model, enabling users to explore data and generate insights with ease. He also led the integration of ‘CrunchBot’ into the search engine, enhancing its performance and expanding its capabilitiesbusinesses to achieve their highest potential.

As part of the Search & Relevance Team at Yellow Pages, Akash Patel improved business search results by enhancing algorithms, leading to a 7.86% boost in the Successful Search Session KPI. He also developed ‘YP Crawler,’ a scalable web crawler that extracted high-quality content, and created a keyword extraction algorithm to enhance search accuracy.

Senior Software Developer ( Nov 2014 – Dec 2015)

At Ciena, Akash Patel developed a web-based automated quote generation system (AQE) using advanced machine learning techniques. This system dynamically selected the best prediction models, incorporating algorithms like SV regression and random forest for feature selection. He also integrated natural language processing (NLP) to enhance the accuracy of quote predictions.

Tech Stack: Java Servlet, JSP, Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn), Apache Lucene, Bootstrap, jQuery.

Helipad Immigration

A Cricket IOS and Andriod app featuring all major tournaments live scorecards. Open for all to participate and create a team. Users can follow live leaderboards and scores during the game, and also check everyone’s teams and their players.

Jeeto Cricket

This web app allows users to list items they need and items they want to sell. It then automatically connects users by matching their listings using smart heuristics.

Interview Prediction App

For this client, we developed an app that learns from previously accepted applicants and predicts whether a given resume is likely to receive an interview call.

For this client, we built a web app that gathers movie data from multiple sources like Facebook, Twitter, and other websites, and conducts sentiment analysis on the movies.
